General Election is unlikely to stall property market recovery.

Historical analysis has revealed that house prices climb by an average of 5.4% in post-election years.

Last week, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announced that a general election would be held on 4th July this year, prompting many to ponder whether a further stint of political uncertainty could hit the housing market.

In fact, house prices have increased in the year following every general election since 1983.

A general election is often viewed by many as a time of opportunity and change, with historical figures showing that the housing market marches on regardless in the year that follows.

The Market Continues to Hot Up

Blackstone, the worlds largest global equity business, is buying 1,750 homes in the UK as it realise the opportunities now and in future in the UKs understated property market.

In the UK, particularly Glasgow due to its continued booming local economy, demand for small properties has helped to drive growth in UK property prices in the early months of this year, according to new research by Halifax.

Glasgow and surrounding areas like Inverclyde, has seen the highest growth in demand and prices for flats in the UK.
